It began with $10,000 and a vision.
Zeke Turner left behind Wall Street in 2002 to found Mainstreet. Starting with only $10,000, he built a successful portfolio of properties. But he could do more, and set down the tenets of our mission and values that Mainstreet still follows today.
That mission drove Mainstreet to develop industry-changing properties. And in 2012, Mainstreet founded HealthLease Properties REIT, which purchased a total of 54 properties before being sold in 2014.
Today, Mainstreet continues to change industries. Mainstreet Property Group has completed over 50 health care properties, while Mainstreet Student Living is transforming the student housing industry. Mainstreet Health is changing how care is delivered to Americans and with the launch of the Mainstreet Health Investments, a new portfolio of health care properties is being assembled.
No matter what industry, the story of Mainstreet will always include lasting value being built and lives being transformed.
